Call for Papers

The CHNT Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies invites submissions for its 31st edition.
We welcome researchers, practitioners, site managers, digital specialists, policy actors, students and community representatives to contribute to a diverse programme of sessions, round tables and thematic exhibitions.
CHNT31 focuses on the practical realities of cultural heritage work – from archaeological and architectural field research to World Heritage management. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Digital documentation
- AI-supported analysis and interpretation
- Community engagement
- Responsible data governance
- FAIR and open data
- Virtual reconstruction
- Computational archaeology
- 3D data acquisition and management
- Citizen science
We encourage contributions that engage with the intersection of scientific research, digital innovation and heritage management in real-world contexts.

Digital Creative Award
We invite submissions of posters, short films and software applications within the CHNT31 framework.
Selected projects will be presented onsite, including a short pitch and demo. The best contribution will be awarded by audience vote.

CHNT31 Training – Hands-on Sessions On-Site
As part of the CHNT Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies, CHNT31 offers a series of hands-on trainings presenting state-of-the-art methods and technologies in digital cultural heritage.
Participants will have the opportunity to actively explore and practice tools, workflows and approaches in a guided setting.
