4th CIPA summer school

CIPA is happy to announce its 4th Heritage Documentation Summer School on “Cultural Heritage 3D Surveying and Modelling” which will take place from 12 -18 July 2017 in Pafos, Cyprus. As with the past three editions, this summer school will consist of theoretical lectures (on photogrammetry/computer vision, laser scanning, photography and total station survey) and practical work, in the field and in the lab.

5th INTBAU International Annual Event

From 5-6 July 2017, the 5th INTBAU International Annual Event will take place in Milan, Italy. The event is organised by the School an the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano and will investigate methodologies of representation, communication and valorisation of Historic Urban Landscape and cultural heritage, but also place making and local identity enhancement.

Geomatics and Restoration: Conservation of Cultural Heritage in the Digital Era – Conference

From 19-21 May 2017,  AUTEC – the Academic Association of Topography and Cartography, SIRA – Academic Association of Architectural Restoration, and IGMI – Italian Geographic Military Institute are organizing the 1st International Conference on “Geomatics and Restoration: Conservation of Cultural Heritage in the Digital Era”. The conference is supported by ISPRS (WG V/1, WG V/2 WG II/8) and CIPA Heritage Documentation.

Urban History in the Age of Digital Libraries – workshop

From 30-31 march 2017, the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB), Dresden, Germany organise a CIPA-supported workshop called: Research and Education in Urban History in the Age of Digital Libraries. The organizers would like to invite contributions on theoretical and methodological issues, application scenarios and projects, as well as novel approaches and tools.

3D ARCH 2017

From 1-3 march 2017, the 7th International Workshop of 3D ARCH will take place in the beautiful city of Nafplio, Greece. 3D-ARCH is a series of international workshops which started in 2005 in Venice and moved throughout the years to Zurich (2007), Trento (2009, 2011, 2013) and Avila (2015), organised as an ISPRS and CIPA event.

The main focus of the workshop is to discuss steps and processes for smart 3D reconstruction, modelling, accessing and understanding of digital environments from multiple data sources.
