China and Italy expand digital heritage ties through China-Italy Digital Heritage Cooperation

On June 18 in Beijing, China and Italy launched a cultural partnership to advance digital heritage. Institutions from both countries signed a memorandum to collaborate on exhibitions, VR projects, and digital museums, strengthening ties through technology and shared cultural preservation goals.

NARRATE: Advancing Digital Documentation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage

NARRATE, an ERASMUS+ project funded by the EU, focuses on digitally preserving ecclesiastical cultural heritage. Through user-centered surveys, interactive webinars, and major events in Bulgaria and Türkiye, it provides clergy with accessible tools and training, fostering international collaboration for standardised digital documentation.

Grotto Digital Twins

On 17 February 2025, the online seminar 'Grotto Digital Twins: Strategies for Documentation, Preservation and Promotion' brought together over 170 participants from around the world to explore the challenges of describing and modelling underground cultural heritage sites, both natural and man-made.
